SPRING FASHION TRENDS - PART 2

SPRING FACE AND FASHION

When you think of Spring you think newness and freshness like fresh air, new plants... the hills are alive!... ok, don't feel like singing today? Don't feel like much make-up either? perfect.

For your spring "fresh faced" look, try this combo:

1.  Light foundation
2.  Concealer
3.  Finishing power (gotta keep the shine away)
4.  Pink eye shadow
5.  Brown eyeliner
6.  Brown or natural mascara
7.  Pink blush (I recommend a cream blush, blends nicely)
8.  Lipgloss

Beauty Tip:  There used to be a debate about when to use concealer.  Start with your foundation and then apply your concealer, it will look natural and you wont need to worry about wiping it off when applying your foundation, and remember - dab then blend.

SPRING TRENDS - PART 2 - PATTERNS

Fashion is recycled, and Spring its almost synonyms with floral and pastel which you will see time and time again from designers. There is no better inspiration for designers than nature itself and this year, nature prints were a popular trend on the catwalk.

So, continuing our spring fashion trends, lets look at some of the spring patterns for 2012.

Nature Prints- Carolina Herrera, Suno, Dolce & Gabbana, Dries Van Noten

TRIBAL

Out on the Town!

For my lunch date and stops around town I though I'd jump into one of the trends for spring - Tribal!

I'm doing a tribal printed skirt with wedges that have that tribal feel.  The white tank keeps it light.

Notice here that Donna Karen did this season cropped top spring design in spring tribal print.  Two for the price of one.
What do you think? Tribal calling your name? Talk about your bold prints... but, you could also do this in a bag, shoe or other accessory.

FLORAL

Designer - Nina Ricci

Designer - Matthew Williamson
Floral can be done in many ways, use them sparingly...

GRAPHIC PRINTS
Designer - Altuzarra

Chanel Iman in Altuzarra
Designer - Gucci, Trend - Art Deco

Nature - Flora/Fauna, Ocean

Designers went crazy with nature prints.  They didn't just use flowers as inspiration but the leaves, the branches, and I think some used the bark in their tribal designs LOL.

This continued with ocean inspired prints and designs, and remember last season - Gucci, Lamb and a few others replaced polka dots with stars for fall 2011?  Well for spring - bird is the new floral.

Designer - Manish Arora

Designer -  Marc Jacobs

Designer - Kenzo

Designer - Carolina Herrera

CELEBRITY STYLE:

This week Katy Perry stepped out on the red carpet in a Paco Rabanne ocean themed dress.  Going with the theme, her hair looks like the sea? Don't ask.
