SPRING 2012 FASHION TRENDS - Part 1

SPRING IS IN!

There are a lot of Fashion Trends out for Spring 2012, take a look at the line-up:

Spring colour code: Neon, Pastels, White, Tangerine

Spring Patterns: Floral, Printed pants, Nature prints – there is much hype about bird prints – Abstract art patterns and colour blocks.

Spring designs: Peplum, “pajamas” (you read right), athletic/sporty looks, drop waist, "peek-a-boo" cut outs and the crop top - yes its back – and this is to name a few or should I say a mouthful.

 TANGERINE

Checking in with our CELEBRITY STYLE:

Kimora Lee Simmons is doing "formal tangerine", wearing a form fitting, structured dress.  Meanwhile Audrina looks a little more casual.   And that's the beauty of it, if you don't feel like rocking as much as a tangerine dress you can still participate in the trend in smaller portion, such as a skirt, clutch or bag, shoe and even your accessories.

Now, it doesn't matter how bold you are or how big your personality is, I really wouldn't advice head-to-toe tangerine... or any other colour.  The emphasis in on colour as all white or all black are definitely exceptions to the rule.

Of the pastel shades I really like the teal, well I like teal anything, and it seems to be the favourite among celebrities (Kim Kardashian) and designers alike.






The great thing with this shade is, it looks great with all skin tones. Jessica Alba opted for pastel green.

My spring favourites are Floral, printed pants, peplum, tangerine and the crop top which I will be adding to my wardrobe to rock for the season... remember to send me your photos!

When next you go out shopping, remember - Spring is in! So bear a few of these in mind and hey, fashion is often recycled so if you have any daylight worthy bird dresses, nature shoes or printed pants somewhere in storage, you may have been ahead of your time, and now is the time to get away with wearing them!

Enjoy trying out these trends and remember, even though its trendy if it doesn’t fit your body – don’t wear it…
