URBAN DECAY NEW FOUNDATION

Product review:  Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Make-up

Hate wearing foundation and looking all make-up-y?  Well Urban Decay's new foundation line: Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Make-up, promises just that.

The product was launched July of this year, has an 18-shade range and comes to you at a value of USD $38 each.

The company describes the product as “Coverage without compromise”.  It states that “its weightless formula, blurs imperfections for a flawless finish that feels invisible, but looks professionally retouched.”

So far the product has been getting rave reviews from beauty experts and make-up enthusiasts alike.  They all agree that the liquid is light and flawless yet still manages to provide medium to full coverage in a demi-matte finish.

One reported drawback is that the line does not provide for very dark skin.

As with many new lines or lines that do not traditionally market to darker complexions, the selection is sometimes limited.  One client on the Urban Decay Facebook page requested they make "half shades" in the darker shades as she was unable to find a close enough match.

The other drawback would be that it is a costly product, but if you can spring it, it’s always good to try different foundation lines to see what line best suit your skin tone. Of course you won’t find a perfect match in every line, but you may find a few that come very close.

WHAT IS YOUR SKIN'S UNDERTONE?

A good thing to find out about your skin tone is whether or not you have a warm/yellow undertone or if you have a cool/pink undertone.  The Urban Decay line of foundations provide for both types of skin tones.

The best make-up look starts with the right foundation, so happy hunting!
